No need to take a day off. We are available after hours and some weekends!
Carolina MD Acupuncture is founded on the principle that both Eastern and contemporary Western medicine have their own proper place. There are occasions when one is preferable to the other. We are a Medical Acupuncture practice, and we respect and understand the complexity of today's patient in today's complex health care system.
We care about details. We will review your records and spend time to listen to you and to counsel you.
Our goal is to supplement and complement the care that you receive from your health care team. Whether it be aches and pains or various non-pain medical conditions, call us to see how we can help. All medical issues will be discussed directly with you by the physician.
Dr Henry Yu is a board-certified physician who has been in full-time clinical practice in South Carolina since 2002. The initial visit may take up to 1 1/2-2 hours, depending on the complexity. We will take the time to hear your story and perform a physical examination. We will then plan and initiate an acupuncture treatment.
We believe that health care should be affordable. We do not accept insurance. However, please contact us with your situation and we will likely be able to help.
All medical procedures carry some amount of risk, but acupuncture is generally very well tolerated. You can help minimize even the low risks further by providing a detailed accounting of your medical history and medications.
How well you respond depends on multiple factors. Where applicable, life style choices should always come first.
